    [ADVICE NEEDED] Adhesions **TMI sorry**

So recently I've noticed some weirdness going on. For the last month or so I've been experiencing diarrhea every day. (sorry, I warned you!) I initially put it down to too much coke, not enough wholesome food. BUT I also have pain around my cs wound at times. Nothing terrible, just lots of twinges, burning etc. I feel pains like these in my lower back, hips, bladder region. I can feel the lumpy scar tissue directly above and below my scar. None of this was bothering me much until the poosplosions started.

It's got me wondering though, could these symptoms be related to adhesions from the surgery? Is it worth seeing a Dr or is this something we all live with after cs? The diarrhea isn't really bad, it's just frequency and urgency. I used to be a once a day gal, but now will go 6 or more times a day. And it's always urgent. How embarrassment.

What are possible treatments? How common is this? Am I crazy to think the two are related? Has anyone else had similar symptoms 6mths pp??

    BRB, gotta poo. *sigh*

No idea on the adhesions (sorry) but my first pregnancy triggered Coeliac Disease (gluten intolerance) and abdominal pain/changes in bowel movements are a sign of this. You can ask for a blood test for initial screening for CD.

I know adhesions are pretty common, but on the basis of the urgency to have a bowel movement I would suggest that it is worth at least a trip to your GP. They may suggest a nutritionist as a 1st step to rule out diet as a cause but it's not worth putting up with a symptom like that.

forshelby - I can relate on the scar-twinge side of things. Just last night mine was causing me a little grief but only on one side. It's the side that hurt the most after the surgery, which was almost 6 months ago. Not really bad pain just annoying. I get twinges on and behind my scar on and off. I thought maybe my undies were rubbing it. Not sure but the pain has gone away today. Can't help with the poo-plosions. I would guess they are probably not related exactly but that the irriation of you going all the time might be causing the other twinges. How long have you been having the diahrrea for now? If it's more than a day or two I'd probably go to the doctors and get it checked out.

I would definately go and see your GP. Ongoing diahorea of that frequency isn't normal and should be investigated. Especially when you are experiencing pain in your lower back, hips and bladder as well. Please get it checked out asap

I believe it is very common to still feel c/s scar pain. Burning, aching, twinges. I still do and it's almost 2 years.

I have/had adhesions. Internal and as a result of endo. They can cause incredible pain and (in my case) had twisted around my bowel and made digestion sometimes very uncomfortable.

I would think the two things are unrelated, but seeing a dr would be the best first step.

i suffer from problems from adhesions (bowel op and appendix op) i had a problem with bowel obsrtuctions and now i have nerve damage and get pain in my back, legs and belly...pulling and burning and its like im being pulled apart. im on morphine because of it (my case apparently is unusual) if you want to talk or ask anything pm me. it is possible....i get ill 5 and half years ago and my sister didnt believe it will possible to have problems from surgery. she had her c-section 4 years ago and has been having problems for about a year or so and has actually apologized for disbelieving me. it sounds like alot of the same issues i havexx
